Stamford

Stamford, situated 40 minutes outside Manhattan, is home to some major corporations and a bustling young social scene, is also packed with waterfront views, fine dining experiences, wooded hikes, and nature preserves.
The Stamford Transportation Center serves Metro-North, Shoreline East, and Amtrak trains. Guests have access to the intercity bus station. Local bus routes make frequent stops, typically every 2 to 3 blocks, linking neighborhoods with urban centers and providing connections within and between communities.
Stamford is a bustling city of just over 120,000 and a hub for social adults. With that comes a variety of nightlife, dining, and entertainment options. Metro-North Railroad brings workers in and out of the city, and Bedford Street spills over with lively dinner and bar hoppers on any given weekend night. Over 16 percent of the city's residents are between the ages of 20 and 29, and more young people continue to flock to the town as it grows and expands. It's a city that likes to be many different things and shows the other aspects of its identity through its various neighborhoods.
DiningThe city offers a variety of eateries ranging from Italian pizzerias to upscale steakhouses. Most restaurants are in the bustling downtown area, making it an excellent choice to stay if you want to explore the food scene.
